Hi

I have a a ryzen 7 2700, 64 gigb3200mhz ram and a pci 3 slot. Is it worth getting 3rd gen rtx cards? I currently use a gtx1080ti

I play pubg and battlefield, I have a 144 hz 2k screen and that gtx1080ti is running 90 percent constantly to keep up at 2 k ultra setting with bf4

Do you really need it?

I'd wait and see what amd delivers soon before thinking of buying anything.

Thank you. I was think of waiting for amd cards to surface and see... I want to get the best out of my pc and I assumed this would be a solid upgrade.

It would be a solid upgrade. But maybe not the best upgrade. Let’s see what AMD does.

An upgrade to the 3070 at R14599 (local retail pricing, wootware) would be a big performance improvement.

According to leaked benchmarks, the 3070 is +10% faster than a 2080Ti.

It also has newer tech, better DLSS and twice the ray tracking capability

You going to have to wait to lest we years for the 3f generation RTX cards to be announced let alone released

Ye, I'd definitely wait to see the rest of the 3000 series lineup as well as what AMD has. I also still have a 1080ti, can't say I feel the need to upgrade quite yet.
