Just got my 800VA UPS today, link http://www.pcmall.co.za/moreinfo.asp?sku=BL800

Modified one of the female/male kettle plug came with the UPS so now I got a 5 plug extension panel connected to the UPS for my PC and router, switch. The problem is I have not connect any equipment onto the panel, just by simply plug into the back of the UPS will set off the buzzer, which according to the manual it's overloading UPS, WTF? Tried with another original cable connected to nothing, and it's fine, no warning beep.

Behind UPS each socket said max 10A, but even a 3 plug extension is max 16A, I wonder how you guys connect your 'modified' extension panel to the back of UPS as someone suggested. Please help!

OK, now something new came up.

My dad's INTEL celeron 420 with 512MB RAM, onboard everything + 17 CRT works well with the UPS.

On my rig it's ok for me to start up the PC first time, but later it switched off automatically (while I was away sorting my dad's UPS). Came back, switch on UPS, fine. But as soon as I start my rig it beeps continuesly, overloading warning. I had one wirelee router, one 8 port switch and my PC (Signature) connected to the UPS. Tried only connect tower to UPS, still no luck. Now I just plug everything back to my permenant power and left the UPS connected at another wall socket to let it charge.....What could be the problem here? Overloading? Shouldn't it supposed to draw current from AC after AVR when AC is on and not from DC battery??

OK, since I got 3 UPS, I took the one I had in my room downstairs, connected to my dad's PC and it give the same warning, it's faulty!! The third one worked perfectly on my machine now. Got to sort it out with PCMALL for a replacement.....So Syndyre, this is my experience with Blazer 800VA UPS. Haven't try to manually unplug AC to see how long it will run because I suspect the battery is not fully charged yet.

Thanks, not a very good experience so far. Thinking of rather building my own.
