Can anyone give me an answer on my power needs.

I have an 1200w ellies inverter but ive connected 2 extra batteries to it. So that makes 4 total.

Tv. Xbox and routers amount to roughly 250w.

How long will it last?

no amount of calcs will tell you as there are so many variables
What battery type, how old are they, thickness of cabling, are they the same length?
internal losses during DC-->AC Conversion
etc etc
Best bet is time it yourself by writing down start and end times
Seriously
:)

Its all new stuff. Just need a ball park

I am running almost 250 watts from my modified UPS in my lounge during load shedding and i easily get through it with my batteries dipping to 25.4 Volts at the end of loadshedding.
I have 2 and half hrs load shedding at a time
So each battery is sitting at a nice healthy 12.7 Volts before ESKOM comes back on again.
Just the way i like it, i hate hurting batteries

My batteries are 2x105aH so you should easily get through loadshedding at the moment :)

I get 3-4 hours on only 2x batteries. 150-250W
Yup that sounds pretty legit, i would of ball park guessed the same.
So far we are fine for up to Stage 4.
Talks of Stage 5 & 6 starting soon with Stage 7 & 8 coming later
Stage 8 is 12hrs a day nuffink - it will be in intervals, so it might be 4hrs on 4 hrs off 4hrs on 4hrs off etc etc.
I will be modding my 2 UPS's at home with an On/Off switch to the beeper so that i can at least sleep at night. Nothing worse than waking up in the middle of the night to something in my kitchen and lounge reversing :laugh:

Well here in Zululand it is only 2 hours a day. I am not complaining. But I know other areas have it super bad. An inverter/UPS will be useless then.

Yeah i saw just now in East London it is 4hrs at a time 3 times a day  that they are experiencing. That is Stage 8 in my books, 4 x 3 = 12 in 24hrs
