urgent help needed with Turbocash

Hi, I have a major problem with Turbocash at the moment. My previous database got corrupted and I downloaded the new version 3.7.5.7 off the site. I entered everything again but when I wanted to print invoices it did not show my company info or the debtor's name on the top left side block.

Can someone please help me? I need to send invoices out asap and have been trying the whole weekend to get it right. :(
 
I would point you at turbocash.co.za which has the contact details for Pink Software, but the site seems to be down :(

You'll probably have to pay for support though.
 
Which version were you using previously? 3.7.5.4 ??

If you still have it on your system, open it, choose your company, then select file, data re-index and see if that helps.
 
Thanks for the replies guys. I have posted on the free forum but I'm waiting for a response there.
I also have spoken to one of the consultants which said that the report manager is stuffed in some of the versions (although I have the newest one - 3.7.5.7 - according to sourgeforge). You have to go into the report designer and mix around with some of the setting on the invoice etc. I have tried that also but to no avail.

If anyone knows this program I will really appreciate the help - please pm me and I will call you.

I am so sick of Turbocash ... I have been using it for 1.5 years, and can't wait to get rid of it. Upgrading to Fin Con as soon as I have the cash to do it. If a reverse a posted batch on turbocash, it increases my previous years retained income by the amount reversed and then my books are out of balance??
 
Out of frustration I downloaded version 4 of Turbocash last night and it has a nice converter. Problem solved with missing info. Although it is the beta release it seems to work much more effortlessly than the ver.3 releases.

I have however kept ver.3 on my pc as a backup in case there is another stuff-up.

Hope they release the proper version 4 soon.
 
I went and downloaded TC4 and did the conversion thing ... and when I try do stuff like view the trial balance ... it gives me an SQL error :P
 
I'm also using TurboCash and not very happy with it. I want to get Pastel (My business Edition).

I found Pastel extremely expensive if I get all the modules I need like Serial Number tracking and stuff ... Fin Con is much cheaper and has everything I need. If you in the computer industry ... Fin Con is the way to go. Its designed for the computer industry I think :P

I am interested in Turbocash's Payroll add on ... anyone used this? Is payroll software needed for a company that will have like 4 or 5 employees ... or is a payroll spreadsheet fine?

I don't think you'll need payroll software just yet. Once you hit 7+ then I think so. It just gets complicated to keep track of everything. I'm working at a school, and we use Pastel products. You are correct though, they charge the earth for all the extra modules, and the registration business is a pain.
