Recently bought this from Telkom shop (I was in a hurry...).

The URL filtering is there but does not seem to work. Set up e.g. youtube.com and select Reject option with priority of 254 (high). This does not block youtube. What am i doing wrong?

Thanks

Hi bilbo007,

Sites like YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, etc are all HTTPS (secure) sites.
This means that middle-man devices such as routers aren't able to sniff those packets for filtering.

Sophisticated routers such as those in the DrayTek range have a feature called 'DNS Filtering', to get around that limitation of HTTPS sites.

It's worthwhile checking whether your router supports the above facility.

Hi bilbo007,

You can try and register for free opendns account. It works ok for free service and will block it from dns request level.
