Heading into the 2020 presidential election, three in five Americans favor amending the U.S. Constitution to replace the Electoral College with a popular vote system, marking a six-percentage point uptick since April 2019. This preference for electing the president based on who receives the most votes nationwide is driven by 89% of Democrats and 68% of independents. Far fewer Republicans, 23%, share this view, as 77% of them support keeping the current system in which the candidate with the most votes in the Electoral College wins the election.

Well I will be sleeping when the debate takes place and will probably only watch snippets (political debates bore me as you know what is going to be said ahead of time). But Trump is clearly more talented at talking on the spot than Biden is who has a more technocratic speaking style.

And here's the rub that exposes Trump and the GOP's BS about votes being counted after election day. The GOP control the states that refuse to let the electoral authorities count absentee votes before election day.

AZ and FL already do, which is why they don't have massive dragged out timelines.

The National Popular Vote Interstate Compact has told me to remind you that it's been around for a while and only needs 74 more electoral votes to give it legal force... A bunch of those are already pending.

270 EC votes gets you the WH. The NPVIC states give theirs to the winner of the national popular vote... 74 more and it's the ball-game, no amendment needed.

You are adding your own interpretation of what was said.

"Joe Biden should not concede under any circumstances because I think this is going to drag out, and eventually, I do believe he will win if we don't give an inch and if we are as focused and relentless as the other side is," does not become "until all votes are counted".

Neither does " Well, we're going to have to see what happens," Trump said. "You know that I've been complaining very strongly about the ballots, and the ballots are a disaster." become "I won't commit and want to disenfranchise"

Again stop adding your own interpretations. Otherwise the reasons I gave earlier are just as valid

Since CREW issued its last conflicts report in February, President Trump has engaged in an additional 400 conflicts of interest and made millions of dollars for his personal businesses. Today’s report details some of the most glaring examples of presidential corruption and conflicts of interest ever raised by a president, all of which stem from his refusal to divest from his businesses.
  • President Trump has made more than 500 visits to the properties he owns and profits from. The president’s frequent travel to and from his properties has cost American taxpayers well over $100 million.
  • President Trump has made more than 300 visits to the golf courses he owns and profits from, despite saying repeatedly during his presidential campaign in 2016 he would not have time for golf. His insistence on spending time at his properties has resulted in at least a million dollars in taxpayer money being spent at his properties.
  • 141 members of Congress have patronized Trump properties. These visits often coincide with events held by special interests or wealthy political donors that rake in millions of dollars for his properties.
  • Special interest groups, many of which have business before the Trump administration, have hosted or sponsored 130 events at Trump properties since he took office. Political groups have held another 88 events at Trump properties.
  • Foreign government-tied entities have held 13 events at Trump properties, and at least 145 foreign officials have visited one of Trump’s properties. Foreign governments have granted President Trump’s businesses 67 trademarks, and have awarded additional trademarks to his daughter’s business, all potentially in an effort to secure favorable treatment from the Trump administration.
