"My TDS refuses to see any good thing Trump has done for foreign relations in the ME."
This is unfortunate for you, you should work on that TDS.

Meanwhile, trump's idol gets to annex part of another nation, support an insurrection AND shoot down a civilian airliner - AND get nominated. trump is seriously underperforming here.

"Honor her wish" ...like that supersedes the Constitution...

What a joke...

So you’re saying they have a constitutional duty to elect a justice even if it’s only 6 weeks to go till the election? Why did that not apply to Merrick Garland?

R + R <> D + R

Figure that part out..

Thank goodness her dying wish (only heard by one person and not recorded) wasnt something like , the USA should start using pieces of old tyres as currency.

'In the US, we count ballots': Trump slapped down by Electoral Commission chief over call to dump mail votes

‘In case anyone is unclear on the concept, in the United States of America, we do not “get rid” of’ ballots’

Ellen Weintraub, Federal Commission Commissioner (FEC), warned the president that America does not simply "get rid" of ballots. “In case anyone is unclear on the concept, in the United States of America, we do not ‘get rid of’ ballots. We count them,” she said in a statement on Twitter.

“Counting the ballots – *all* the ballots – is the way we determine who leads our country after our elections. The only way,” she added.

More than 200 retired generals, admirals endorse Biden, including some who served under Trump

"Our allies no longer trust or respect us, and our enemies no longer fear us," the former officers and officials wrote in a letter released Thursday.

Extract from an article written in August.

" History supports Republicans filling the seat. Doing so would not be in any way inconsistent with Senate Republicans’ holding open the seat vacated by Justice Antonin Scalia in 2016. The reason is simple, and was explained by Mitch McConnell at the time. Historically, throughout American history, when their party controls the Senate, presidents get to fill Supreme Court vacancies at any time — even in a presidential election year, even in a lame-duck session after the election, even after defeat. Historically, when the opposite party controls the Senate, the Senate gets to block Supreme Court nominees sent up in a presidential election year, and hold the seat open for the winner. Both of those precedents are settled by experience as old as the republic. Republicans should not create a brand-new precedent to deviate from them. "

There are actual stats showing the voting history of the US with regards to this as well, but it won't really add more than the above extract.

Now that is some flimsy power-grab justification bs if I've ever seen it. I'd rather they skipped the lube and let cackling goblin man go in bareback

He was referring to what I said before and will say again now. However before the election they need to come to an agreement on how long to wait. 2 days, 3, 7?

Again for the fourth fifth time.. Easy solutions deescalate this by encouraging those who are able to, to vote in person. It is a win for both sides.

It's not flimsy. It's established precedent. Doesn't matter if you like it or not. It has been that way with both parties since this process began.

What he said is irrelevant and frankly the democrats only have themselves to blame. They made changes to the voting requirements in 2013 which they were told at the time was going to come back and bite them. Also after the treatment of Kavanaugh they lost all possible good faith.

No.

She accepted the result.

She did not contest it.

She did not go to court over it.

All of which Trump is prepared to do.

Calling him illegitimate after the senate concluded that Russia interfered on his behalf, is fair.
