Media claiming, without evidence, that Trump is Authoritarian, Fascist and some more buzzwords they don't understand.. He said, with evidence, that the delay in election results that mail in voting will cause will cause doubt in the election results. This is not debatable. Especially if failed signature verification needs to go back to voters This will either delay the results even more or it could mean that the mismatches are just ignored and tallied anyway causing more insecurity. Either way it will have a negative impact.Trump's authoritarian play can scarcely be any more transparent. He's claiming, with zero evidence, that the election has already been rigged, if he loses.
He is not saying discard ballots, he's saying to vote in person to increase the trust in the election. Those two claims are VERY different. He is also alluding to the fact that he thinks he is going to win. I have yet to see anyone admit and say "Yes if voting is safe and you're able to go vote in person to insure faster and more accurate election results". Until this is done by the media there will always remain this doubt as to motives. So he's preemptively trying to disenfranchise hundreds of thousands of citizens and have his appointee rule in his favour if it's disputed. That's explicitly his play here.

Trump on peaceful transition if he loses: 'Get rid of the ballots' and 'there won't be a transfer'
"We're going to have to see what happens," Trump said. "You know that I've been complaining very strongly about the ballots, and the ballots are a disaster."www.nbcnews.com
He is not wrong. Experts suggest it will likely end up in court if the election results are delayed too much and if trust in the results is low. Just because a Judge is conservative does not mean the will always vote for them in rulings that is a very uniformed way of looking at it. As long as the appointee has a strong history of voting in line with the constitution that is what they will do.
