So went for a drive to clear my head and think about this.

I think one of the big reasons why lies are so dangerous is because decisions are made based on those lies which have a negative effect for many, if not the majority.

Here's one we can all relate to. -

Mabuza says..... We cannot just shut down SAA because ... everyone in South Africa loves it too much.

So we'll just fleece the taxpayer again and again.

But hey, it was just a lie.

No, I have not. Your list is just kark. I just used the Time magazine cover to show you how asinine it is. You should have gotten a clue when it took you five minutes to find it. Also, nice strawman again equating saying your list is kark to not caring about corruption and lies.

Stephanie Grisham's stunningly bad answer about President Trump and coronavirus

This a real exchange that happened Monday morning between "Fox & Friends" host Ainsley Earhardt and White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham:

Earhardt: "President Trump is 73. Will he continue to have rallies and be out there on the campaign trail?"

Grisham: "He actually just addressed this. Yes, he plans on still holding rallies. And I'll tell you what, with our President -- this man who doesn't sleep and who I have seen work 15-16 hours a day every day -- I have no problem thinking that he's going to be just fine and just healthy."

Just so everyone is clear on this. The press secretary of the United States was asked about a growing epidemic and its potential impact of the President. And her answer was this: "This man who doesn't sleep and who I have seen work 15-16 hours a day every day -- I have no problem thinking that he's going to be just fine and just healthy."
That's not the point! That's not even close to the point!
Grisham's response is akin to being asked about whether you are worried about getting the flu and responding: "No, I lift a lot of weights and I am pretty jacked."
 
Trump recently claimed that his approval rating would have been at 70%, rather than 50%, were it not for the media. If the Dow Jones recovers to its pre-coronavirus high and reaches 30,000 while Trump is still president, he'll claim that it would have been at 40,000, rather than 30,000, were it not for media who have weaponised coronavirus against him.

It's a pattern with him, like when he said that he would have won the popular vote were it not for the three to five million illegals who had voted for Hillary. He makes unprovable claims based on far-fetched hypotheticals and convinces himself of their truth in order to protect his ego, and because he believes it, he says it so convincingly that his followers believe it too.

Once again you take one stupid example to assimilate all his lies into, to dismiss the serious lies without addressing the issue at hand, because you judge the list of lies by the easiest example to dismiss. Strawman.

You are apologising for the lies and corrupt behaviour of Trump the same way an ANC supporter does so for Zuma.

By calling the whole list Kark you excuse the lies which are significant, thereby apologising for them.

Yeah, those assumptions are all you. You must get tired from jumping to all those conclusions. The whole point which you spectacularly missed is that inane schitt makes that list which was the point the op made

I mean, Trump should have a good shot at re-election either way, incumbency bonus being so huge, and him breaking the law to use his office and government resources to campaign.

But it's not a clear thing at all.

And the point you miss is that there are several other lies that should not be brushed off like you do.

Saying somwthing like some of the 16000 lies are a ridiculous and pointless, but there are others that are significant and are concerning, is far more logical than your position of the whole list is BS.
