House wins access to Mueller grand jury details, appeals court rules

The House of Representatives has won access to secret grand jury material gathered in former special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation and cited in the Mueller report, the DC Circuit Court of Appeals ruled on Tuesday.

The appeals panel sided with the chief judge of the DC District Court, who had roundly criticized the Justice Department's legal theories to keep the Mueller materials under seal and endorsed the House's investigation into President Donald Trump.

Mr. Biden was shaking hands and taking pictures with workers, many of them wearing fluorescent vests and hard hats, when one man accused him of trying to “take away our guns.”

“You’re full of ****,” Mr. Biden responded, adding, “I support the Second Amendment.”

The two men got into a back-and-forth about Mr. Biden’s views on guns and his positions on gun control. Mr. Biden noted that he was a gun owner and said, “I’m not taking your gun away at all.” Later in the exchange, he told the man, “Don’t be such a horse’s ass.”

Tony Schwartz, the ghostwriter for Art of the Deal, made an interesting point once, when he was asked if he thought that there was any substance to the rape and sexual harassment allegations that had been made against Trump by several women.

Schwartz explained it as follows. He was a journalist in the pre-internet age, and in those days, if a newspaper got a dozen letters about a story, that was considered a lot; one could assume that thousands more felt the same way as the dozen who had taken the trouble to write to the newspaper.

The twenty-three women who've come forward with allegations of sexual misconduct against Trump, are like the dozen newspaper readers who wrote letters. There are probably many other women who have had similar experiences with Trump, but who haven't come forward. In this era of Trump worship, it takes a very brave woman to step into the open and accuse Trump of rape.

Problem is many Dems are decidedly not like Biden who is an old-school Democrat. Especially The Squad.
 
Interesting data on the increase in turnout in the Dem primary in Texas, 2016 v. 2020.

Some of the largest increases came from suburban counties like Collin (+111%), Denton (+106%), Montgomery (+101%), Williamson (+95%), Hays (+79%) and Fort Bend (+77%).

On Monday Joe called himself a "bridge" to a new generation of Democratic leaders.

His 'progressive' issue is best addressed when naming a running mate. He'll need a progressive African-American woman as his choice for VP...

... and her name is Stacey Abrams.
