And how would that have changed anything in South Africa? If we had EC here.....what would the result be?It's called an Electoral College . It's a mechanism to prevent stupid people voting stupid people into power at the expense of decent people like in South Africa.

Best thing the US does is to have separate elections for the executive and for the legislature. The EC/popular vote argument pales into comparison if you consider that difference. And how would that have changed anything in South Africa? If we had EC here.....what would the result be?
Socialists: "We want free stuff that other people have to pay for"Bernie is losing because his supporters think someone else will vote for them/on their behalf.

Since Zuma was deeply unpopular in public, he wouldn't have lasted 8 years as president, 4 years and he would have been thrown out. Heck, I think even if it were a popular vote, Zuma and his government would have been tossed, as well as the Ramamessiah.
Reading comprehension?Absolute nonsense. When's the last time an independent won the election in the US. The EC and the fptp system of assigning delegates makes it impossible for any outsider to win anything.
Zuma would have gotten >50% after the first 4 years. And Ramaphosa would have gotten more.

I just don't think she has the "Madiba Magic" factor. I think she comes across as a brilliant cabinet minister or bureaucrat but not as an inspirational leader. She is better in a practical position rather than a figurehead. Why do you guys (especially the Democrat supporters here) think Warren failed in her bid?
I saw an article that basically said it was sexism, that they'd rather have one of two ou toppies than a 70 year old women be president.
But then, wouldn't Democratic voters be less likely to hold "sexist" beliefs than Republicans?
For anyone who thinks that the Dems and their media aren’t owned by China.
Gotta love Tucker Carlson....

Pence says there's been 'irresponsible rhetoric' from people downplaying coronavirus
“There's been some irresponsible rhetoric, but the American people should know President Trump has no higher priority than the health and safety and well being of the people of this country,” Pence said in response but it was not clear who he was referring to.
