He has been pinning his reelection on the strength of the economy. He isn't very well-liked otherwise, but his popularity has held quite strong because the US economy and the stock market has been resilient no matter what the media said about him. I think he was just unwilling to say anything that would spook the market, and as a result he misinformed the public and allowed the pandemic to spread quickly without an adequate response. And when he did respond it was unhelpful and chaotic, until perhaps yesterday.
And BoJo got it wrong as well. At least BoJo a d his team are now on the right path. Wasted a few days following the wrong science.

It's called balance/common sense, something you TDSers don't practise.
Balance requires ... balance. I.e. posting articles or comments or analysis that would support Trump and articles that would be critical of Trump.
I don't think any of us here are truly balanced.
