The point of a lockdown is to slow the curve in order for the healthcare services not to be overwhelmed early in the game.

Nothing to do with cocooning anyone.

The UK changed its policy on dealing with the outbreak because of pressure from the media. In South Africa, if you post an argument that states why the government is wrong, they will arrest you.

So what do you think South Africa should do? How does it protect the highest priority item on the constitution, the right to life?

The UK didn't cave to the media. Reality and the fact that their original model used a different virus began to hit them hard.
 
So can we all agree now that when Conservatives from the USA virtue signal about abortion, it actually has nothing to do about pro-life?

The evidence is clear now on their views on "acceptable" deaths to preserve the market.

We are probably going to have multiple shutdowns and going back to work until there is a decent cure or vaccine.

I am not sure that abortion is solely a left wing / right wing thing.
I'm sure you can be left wing and against abortion. You can be gay and conservative, or intelligent and socialist.

It's just a really really stupid and inhumane plan - and his credibility will plummet when his supporters start dying.

He just doesn't seem to accept reality and that's kinda scary.
