whatever caused/ing the holdup on results ... awesome way to start your party's election cycle.

I still don't know why they call it a party, I've watched the videos of all these parties and they really seem quite boring, I imagined American parties are like the movies with booze and girls all over, but these guys all wear suits

It is interesting that Hilary decided not to run again. I thought she would.

Got a stupid question about US politics. Would another Republican candidate be able to challenge Trump for the right to contest the election?

I don't love Trump, but I prefer him to any of the Democrats. I'd rather Trump win than any of them. I'm concerned with the Leftward slide of global politics and Trump is at least a firm stop sign in the road.

He could but the GOP are hellbent on shutting down primaries

An incumbent usually only has paper opposition. On the extremely rare occasions that a serious challenge is mounted, the incumbent usually withdraws before the primary.

President Donald Trump on Monday coasted to victory in the 2020 Iowa Republican caucuses, quickly quashing his two lesser-known GOP rivals.

Trump won the Republican contest with 97 percent of the vote and 8 percent of precincts reporting, according to the Associated Press, while former Illinois Rep. Joe Walsh achieved 1.4 percent of voters and former Massachusetts Gov. Bill Weld garnered 1.2 percent.

Interesting

Shadow Inc built the app.

Shadow Inc is run by HRC campaign members.

Shadow Inc is owned by the non-profit ACRONYM.

ACRONYM is run by (and co-owned by) Tara McGowan ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tara_McGowan )

ACRONYM also owns PACRONYM; a PAC dedicated to getting Progressive candidates elected (https://www.pacronym.org/#about)

Tara McGowan is married to Michael Halle.

Michael Halle is Pete Buttigeg's Chief Strategist.

Interesting stuff you can find on the internet!

Major Pete is the most woke candidate the DNC elite could find. Too bad they were fresh out Lesbian Latino Lawyers self-identifying as Electable Politicians.

Democrats do not even have a candidate worthy of a campaign bus sticker so far - weak individuals whose only claim to fame is talking down Trump - while offering nothing new - they are all singing from the same hym sheet... 'seen one seen all'. Short of a miracle candidate from the Dems, I am endorsing Trump for a second term.

This is something only someone who has paid 0 attention to the actual Dem campaigns could think.

I don't love Trump, but I prefer him to any of the Democrats. I'd rather Trump win than any of them.

Why?

You certainly love to make absurd claims with no evidence supporting it at all. There has been no leftward slide in global politics.

Interesting
The firm behind the phone app that caused delays in reporting the results of the Iowa Democratic caucus is operated by three Hillary Clinton campaign veterans.

The firm has also done business during the 2020 election cycle with Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg’s campaign.

Iowa Democrats intended to use the app, created by Shadow Inc., to make it easier for the state’s 1,700-odd precincts to report the results of their individual caucuses. But officials at precincts across the state reported that they had trouble operating the app and submitting the voting data.

Shadow Inc.’s website has scant information about the firm and its employees. But a review of social media accounts shows that three of the Washington, D.C.-based firm’s top executives worked on the 2016 Hillary Clinton campaign.

The CEO of Shadow Inc., Gerard Niemira, was the director of product on Clinton’s campaign, his LinkedIn profile says.

Ahna Rao, the product manager for Shadow Inc., was the special assistant to the chief technology officer on Clinton’s campaign, according to her LinkedIn profile.

Krista Davis, the chief technology officer at Shadow, was a software engineer on Clinton’s campaign, according to her LinkedIn profile.

The firm responsible for the app that caused delays in counting votes during Monday’s Iowa caucuses had a role in developing an outlet promoting Democratic propaganda outlets ahead of the 2020 election.

Campaign consulting nonprofit ACRONYM owns Shadow Inc., a company that operates the app Democrats hoped would simplify the process of counting the votes in Iowa’s roughly 1,700 precincts. Officials across the state struggled to use the app, leaving the results of the caucuses in limbo.

HuffPost, citing campaign finance records, reported out ACRONYM’s role in the debacle late Monday night.

Tara McGowan, a digital producer for Obama for America in 2011 and the proprietor behind ACRONYM, raised at least $25 million from wealthy liberals to create a media company called Courier Newsroom that is designed to deliver information favorable to Democrats.
