So here is an on-topic question for everyone

Do you think Covid-19 will improve Trump's chance for re-election or decrease it?

I think it has improved them slightly. But despite that, the manner in which the US recovers from C-19 will be whether he wins or not.

The problem for him is that the 'rally around the flag' was marginal for him, and it mostly still tracks his general approval rating. He got *at most* a 5% bump, whereas other world leaders got high double digit increases.

And this is before the damage has really hit home.

Oh...

Could it be that you're cherry picking to suit your narrative? Surely not!

From January:

From start of Feb:

And meanwhile, Fox News:

Oh, and let's not forget what senators saw in a briefing in early February, and only Democrats raised the alarm bells, while Trump and Republicans were still downplaying it publicly, while selling stocks privately and telling donors the truth.

A clear indication of how trivial the Orange Fuhrer considered the Coronavirus was, .......he assigned Pence to lead to effort.

Pence seeks to blame CDC and China for any delay in US coronavirus response -- not Trump's initial failure to face reality

Vice President Mike Pence sought to cast blame on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and China Wednesday when asked why the US was so late in understanding the enormity of the coronavirus pandemic.

"I will be very candid with you and say that in mid-January the CDC was still assessing that the risk of the coronavirus to the American people was low. The very first case, which was someone who had been in China -- in late January around the 20th day of January," Pence told CNN's Wolf Blitzer.

Sorry poor people, no health insurance for you

The Trump administration has decided against reopening Obamacare enrollment to uninsured Americans during the coronavirus pandemic, defying calls from health insurers and Democrats to create a special sign-up window amid the health crisis.

President Donald Trump and administration officials recently said they were considering relaunching HealthCare.gov, the federal enrollment site, and insurers said they privately received assurances from health officials overseeing the law's marketplace. However, a White House official on Tuesday evening told POLITICO the administration will not reopen the site for a special enrollment period, and that the administration is "exploring other options."

The annual enrollment period for HealthCare.gov closed months ago, and a special enrollment period for the coronavirus could have extended the opportunity for millions of uninsured Americans to newly seek out coverage. Still, the law already allows a special enrollment for people who have lost their workplace health plans, so the health care law may still serve as a safety net after a record surge in unemployment stemming from the pandemic.
A reporter asked about this and what the WH has planned for those that don't have and can't afford health insurance - Trump passed it to lame duck Pence and he just praised Trump for the commitment he got from the insurance companies. The reporter responded three times that Pence was evading his actual question, and it was just ignored.

Trump admin will not reopen Obamacare exchanges during coronavirus pandemic

Last month, President Donald Trump signaled that he was considering a special enrollment period that would reopen federal insurance exchanges, which shuttered in December after the end of the annual open enrollment period.

"It's something we're talking to a lot of people about. We'll see what happens," Trump said in March.

You didn't even read your own links. You're just trolling. 1st one say the virus is not that serious.

Federal Judge Who Slammed AG Barr Obtains Unredacted Version of Mueller Report

A federal judge obtained the full and unredacted report on election interference and obstruction of justice prepared by former special counsel Robert Mueller on Monday.

A two-page filing submitted by U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) attorneys with the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia notified Judge Reggie Walton of the delivery of the documents in question. The filing also noted DOJ’s compliance with two court orders issued by Walton earlier this month demanding the law enforcement agency supply the full report.

because what really would have made a difference is having a politician focused on this still ...

puhlease, if anything, more government officials across the world needed to GTFO of the way and let the professionals handle things

They got rid of the professional.

Good thing professional health experts like Mike Pence are in charge now hey

He's doing a surprisingly good job. And his role isn't to be a health professional but rather like a project manager.

No, he isn't. The US response to Corona is disastrous. As of this morning they're up to 215,000 cases and 5110 deaths. Everywhere else is beginning to flatten while the US is out of control.

TDS. The other countries aren't doing nearly the same amount of testing. And you have to compare the US with the EU for population size.

Dude they are also doing a kak job. Both are doing a kak job.

One more time for emphasis:
We are comparing them to the entire Europe and BOTH the US and Europe are doing a kak job.

Coming in second place doesn't somehow translate into a good job being performed.

If anyone will know anything about being a 'bastion of truth', it's Daily Caller. They would never publish lies or misinformation.

I just love how you post a link to Media Matters.

Thank you for your valuable input. If you actually disagree with anything I said please feel free to sare your opinion.

I not a big fan of using the ignore function, but I have to say. This thread is way more tolerable with obvious trolls like Tysonroux on ignore. It eliminates a lot of the stupid.

He has been on my ignore list for a very long time. When he first appeared in this thread way back when, spamming it with hundreds of images. Funny how moderation seems to become lax when that happens.
