US Election 2020

Americans received their trumpbux today. So orange man not bad for the time being.

So, the back-story first.

Donnie picked Linda McMahon to run his Small Business Administration in 2016. She stepped down last year to run a Trump reelection super PAC called America First Action. Linda is married to Vince McMahon, and the two of them built the WWE (yes, the wrestling thing) into a billion Dollar business.

Everyone caught up? Right, let's get to the present then.

Linda and Vince have a broadcast deal for the WWE on Fox. It's worth $200 Million annually.

Then Covid came along.

Not being able to stage live shows meant that they were about to default on their Fox deal and lose $200 Million a year.

Still with me? Good... Then let's talk Florida.

Last week Thursday, Ron De Santis signed an EO that classified wrestling as an 'essential business'. That means the WWE get to put on live shows (without audiences obviously) in Orlando, and getting to put on live shows means no Fox default, and the WWE money keeps rolling in.

And... In unrelated business, America First Action committed $18,5 Million to Florida.

Last Thursday.

It's all a grift.

All.

Of.

It.

Thanks for connecting the dots on that. I saw that WWE Smackdown was going ahead because it was an essential service and my reaction was just wt serious f

Yeah, I guess I still need to up my troll game to get up to your level....

You do but I guess that's to be expected since the 'decent folk' like you never troll. Not even when they get called on their schitt!

Calling people on their schitt or just low effort name calling? Your first post in this exchange....

Snowflakes gonna snowflake!
Yeah, lots of thought clearly went into that....

No, pretty much calling people on their schitt snowflake. My first post was in response to this. I even quoted it.

So you aren't here to have a discussion the on the topic or Trump, you are just here to poke
and troll people who take exception to what Trump says or does?

As I said, the 'decent folk' never troll a point you hilariously missed.

Lol! After donating that money the WWE just released a whole lot of people. Absolute scum

Good thing wrestling isn't a close contact activity.

And I see that the Trumpets would rather focus on Cuomo or something instead of questioning why Dear Leader and Co would classify the WWE as an essential business.

Tread harder, Daddy...

My friend in the US just got paid the $1200 from the stimulus bill. Not a US citizen or anything, just a PhD student.
Lucky guy. Some of my US friends, who are US citizens are having issues with the IRS page. I guess the system is getting smashed with millions of requests.

Typical BS from OD.

1. Trump's administration originated the package. If you want to blame his whole administration for misdeeds, don't come with this but what did HE do nonsense.

lol, no it didn't. Where do you get this stuff?

Yes. You said: "Or are you wanting to now do a retrospective in the middle of a crisis, just like Pencil Neck?"

Schiff's commission would be after the pandemic has ended, in early February 2021 - like the article you posted says.

He said the same when it was first announced, too:

Once we've recovered, we need a nonpartisan commission to review our response and how we can better prepare for the next pandemic.”

3. Like CNN, MSNBC, CNBC and NYT are balanced reporting? Please remind me again how these publications pushed Russiagate for it all to be a massive nothingburger.

Should I ask again what specific reporting was wrong, or will it get ignored, again?

CNN did it again while I was asleep.

"Chinese state media claims country's navy is not affected by coronavirus"

;)

Thanks for the approval graphs. I was under the impression Trump's approval rating have tanked. Obama won a second term with similar ratings, not so? Since you put so much stock into these things, please tell me what you think about this one. And then tell me more about credible sources.

He doesn't share the actual survey, so I don't know what the methodology is, what the sample was, if there are historical trends, etc.

I do find the catch-all term 'media' difficult for surveys like this, because it means everything from Huisgenoot to the NYT. Some of it sucks, some of it has always sucked (US cable news, especially), some of it is built on being ridiculous etc.

The Orange Fuhrer's dumb bimbo making a fool of herself again.

I will thanks for authorising me.

Reminded me of this:

White House brains trust right there...

Of course.

Kentucky’s heavily Republican legislature voted Tuesday to require voters to show a government-issued photo ID, overriding Democratic Gov. Andy Beshear’s veto in the process.

Meanwhile, if a Kentucky voter heads to the state’s webpage hoping to learn how to obtain such an ID, they will encounter a message telling them ID-issuing offices are closed.

All above board and normal according to konfab.
