Obviously of being Muslim. The far right neo nazis in Trump's base just hate those muslims.

So close.

This was one of the ridiculous charges thrown at him while he was POTUS... But notice, I said ‘ridiculous’.

There’s one more... but I’m sure you know that, don’t you?

I’m old enough to remember Donnie getting impeached for trying to get dirt on Joe, his literal political opponent in November, from Ukraine.

Other than that, this post is 100% correct.
I'm old enough to remember it differently, but whatever.

Because he is gay?

Remind us again which president was instrumental in forming a partnership of countries in the pacific that could take on China economically and put pressure on them to reform...? And which one pulled the US out...?
I thought you progressive types hated the TPP as well.

Also note the shameless, egregious lies McConnell spits out in the same breath.

This is exactly it. It's because it's not actually about whichever shiny object they've latched onto and pretend it's the next big whopper. It's just desperate grasping for something... anything... that will deflect away from Trump's incompetence and corruption.

Like the time Trump said Obama wiretapped him, had it investigated and found nothing.

Or like the investigation into illegal voters in an election that Trump won, that found nothing.

Or Durhams investigation into the FBI.

So on and on and on.

Useful distractions for his base to go after who will conveniently forget the outcome.

No outcome is necessary.

The *suggestion* of impropriety is all that is needed for Trumpists to attribute guilt... After that, you can squeal 'wiretapping' or 'voter fraud' at any point in the future and the hivemind reflexively shrieks 'Guilty!'

No evidence needed.

No outcome needed.

'Guilty!'

So much self awareness.

Republicans look set (votes take a long time to count in Commiefornia due the mail in process) to flip California's 25th district seat after the Democrat was forced to resign owing to images leaked on the internet.

This will be the first time the GOP have flipped a congressional seat in California since 1998.

The Democrat Challenger also made a huge faux paus by appearing to diss the Republican's record as an Airforce pilot (you never diss the troops in American politics. Great respect for the military in the US)

And then it's a do-over in November.

Still, funny how a mail-in election can work for *both* parties... I've been assured by Republicans that only Democrats benefit.

Yeah, the mail-in ballot data for this special election is extraordinary:

"Tracking data shows a significant voting gap along generational lines. Roughly 56% of voters 65 and older returned a mail ballot. Just 19% of those younger than 35 did so. "

"There’s a voting gap along ethnic lines, too: While 40% of white voters returned their mail ballots, only 21% of Latinos did so. "

"But there is no doubt that a win for Republicans in a state that is overwhelmingly controlled by Democrats would be remarkable. "

Also this article says no advantage for either party: https://fivethirtyeight.com/feature...-voting-by-mail-gives-one-party-an-advantage/

Yup.

I expect some folk here will still be surprised that the olds vote like clockwork, and young voters don't show... even if they can vote while watching Netflix.
