I've been to the US three times as a tourist and these were in blue states. Many Americans have a deep respect for the military (they might not like the so-called 'military industrial complex' but it is considered deeply unpatriotic to make fun 'of the troops'). Look at the furore over McCain and Trump re Vietnam. There are also many US politicians who used to serve in the military. Many of them take pride in serving in the military and mention it at every opportunity. The Democratic Senate candidate in Arizona for example is a former Navy captain. You're in a world of pain in US politics if you criticise people's service to the country.

Christy Smit was also forced to apologise:

But it's also true the winning margin in Arizona narrowed quite a bit and due to strong Democratic senate candidate they have this year, Biden has a real shot of winning Arizona for the first time since 1996. It's also incorrect to say Trump is 'anti-military' as he constantly tweets about supporting military veterans/'our troops' (mainly because I suspect they are a strong Republican voting bloc).

No, I'm not familiar with that term but now I see what it means.

Edit , I said possibly illegal because some photos showed weapons which require certain paperwork to possess , anyhow some people reported it to the ATF so I hope those people have the paperwork , and no dogs ATF and dogs don't go well together.
