That's how guys mostly think, women on the other hand...:erm: a majority mixed raced society is inevitable in countries like the US where women are choosing outside their race.

That's a bit illogical, if guys thought that way then they wouldn't choose women outside their race, it works both ways.
 
There is only one race, homo sapiens, this could just as easily be about if gingers should marry blondes.

Yeah I was speaking from experience regarding my sister, she's not interested in IQ and mostly dates blacks and find dark people attractive but then again the IQ/race argument is weak, upbringing determines IQ more than race IMO.
 
Many people in SA, NZ, Australia, Canada, US and other colonies who think they are white are in fact mixed race. There are many whites in SA who have black blood and vice versa. There are also many Americans who have Indian blood. It's just that they don't look very black, or white or Indian although some have features which betray them. Coloureds in SA are multifactorial. They have Indonesian blood, Indian blood, Pakistani blood, White blood (German, Dutch, French, Portuguese, English, Scottish),
Hottentot/San blood and of course Black blood. Of course not all have this mix but its a pretty heterogenous group of people. Even among them there are intermarriage issues.

Inter-racial marriage shouldn't be an issue but because of prejudices on both sides it often is. The children may also have problems: both sides may reject them. Its also not just reserved to race but also to ethnicity and language. German mother, French father = child ??? Then Lutheran German father, Catholic French mother = child ???
Not to mention that the French, Germans, English and others dislike each other too, especially the older folks.

At the end of the day its not this guy's problem. People shouldn't call him a racist though but he should either find a different employment or if he really objects to it partner with another justice who does not and refer all mixed marriages to him, but his motives should not be racially motivated. It seems as if he's just cynical in what he sees in terms of acceptance by 'pure' races of the mixed children - both black and white groups may reject the mixed kid or maybe not.

This reminds me of the book that was published showing the mixed blood in prominent South Africans - it wasn't well received in certain circles :D

In the case of the OP, I think the public servant is obliged to perform his duties within the laws of his state, not his own personal preferences regardless of how noble he may claim them to be.

I spent a year working in Puerto Rico, and got to know many locals and their customs, and was quite shocked to find that lawyers were making big bucks producing "authentic" family trees to portray the white heritage of soon to be married couples.

That guy is correct . Its their society and country and they should have their own rules . I see no problem in this judgement . As far as i am concerned blacks should marry blacks , chinese with chinese , finish . If that guy wanted to try a Habana he would have had cash first and be a famous person , then that old man would have pardoned him .

That public servant acted contrary to the rules or laws, and he is being taken to task.
No more "Justice of the Peace" for him.

He is of course entitled to have similar thoughts and preferences as you have displayed above, but as a Justice of the Peace he needs to act in line with the law, which he wasn't doing.

If marrying a different colour code does not bring peace in the society to the married or the offspring then he is right .
Basically this racial intermarriage is just for experimentation and rebellion . At the end of the day the child will suffer or the two married people will stay indoors because of hate and scorn . The judge is protecting them .
If my son was to bring a pale skinned wife in his later years , I would obvously not be happy . Not because of hate but because I know what that sort of thing brings .

I'm all for inter-racial marriages, imagine 500 years from now we'll just have one colour and all this racism bs will be gone.

Yeah it's true, regardless of race some people are not comfortable with race mixing, black, white, asian, etc. People should have a right to say they are not happy with it as much as those who are for it, let people choose for themselves.

Diversity is good in my opinion.

You must be racist to the core

You probably would have been very happy with Apartheid laws like Group Areas Act, Immorality Act, Seperate Amenities Act, etc just because blacks and whites should love, live, hang out with their own kind.

Natural selection cannot and will not be dictated to by any laws and bigots. The survival of races as we know them today hangs in the balance.


Watch as nature takes it cause. I'm now going to mack that white girl sitting two cubicles down from me :D
