Now I know the US Open is months away but I was wondering if anyone new a connection or two in Supersport to try and get them to broadcast the HD broadcast on SA HD1/2?

Sorry to say but ESPN's standard definition is terrible and you can barely see the ball if you have an lCD or plasma. I love the US Open but we lose out on so much enjoyment on this grandslam out of all 4 just because the quality of the broadcast sucks balls!

US Open months away? Are you mad? The US Open was in November/December last year. We just had the Australian Open a few weeks ago. It will be broadcast on Supersport, as are all major tennis events, including some ATP 250/500 events. The one currently showing is the Rotterdam Open (ATP 500). The final is tomorrow at 15:00 on Supersport.
The order of majors are as follows:

Australian Open
French Open
Wimbledon
US Open

Same problem every year, why is ESPN involved in such poor production, last year there was a match where the picture was only displayed on half the screen, also ESpns own adverts overlap some of the games.

1) Its in Aug/Sep
2) Its not broadcast on Supersport, its on ESPN

Supersport doesnt have the rights to the US Open tennis and the 1st two days of of US Open golf
I don't think this will change anytime soon, but I agree I hate watching ESPN's crap coverage after watching other events in HD

Sorry, yes, September. For some reason it felt like it just happened 2 months ago. I keep confusing it for the AUS Open that just happened :p
