Telkom (JSE:TKG) on Thursday unveiled a historic strategic alliance with US communication giant AT&T.

"The deal gives impetus to Telkom's geographic expansion into the continent," says group CEO Reuben September.

The memorandum of understanding will provide the base for the two to:
Collaborate on products and services;
Jointly develop interconnected global networks; and
Build a pan African Telkom network to meet the needs of customers.
