What software do you guys use to backup the data on your USB flash drives?
Do you set them to be backed up every time you insert them into your pc or do you manually back them up every so often?

Thanks

I do every so often, and not really onto flash drives. Flash drives are only really useful in my opinion for Sneakernetting and taking photos to QPhoto to print. ;)

In terms of software, I prefer to use something like SyncToy from MS to echo the data from one folder to another. I did do differential, compressed backups at one point, but found it inflexible when I wanted to recover a file. HD storage is cheap enough these days!

I've just installed and am trying out SyncBackPro, its handy in that you can set it to use a devices serial number instead of the drive letter, so if I insert my flash and the drive letter changes it will still backup 100%. It also has an option to initiate the backup upon insertion of the flash drive. I'm doing a mirror backup - in case someone else also wants to try it out...

It's not free but has a trial version you can try...

you can use autorun.inf and setup a bat file ? or better yet.. use sugar sync...
