Hi
I'm thinking of buying a used 2014 A4 2.0 TFSI Multitronic with around 95 0000km on it. Please tell me what the most important things I should ask or confirm with the dealer before concluding the purchase.
Also, what amount should I budget around for servicing/maintaining the car.

Thanks

First thing I would ask is how they put a million kms on it in 3 years.

Check out accident and service history. Check what has been repaired/replaced as the car has been in for services etc. Look for anything out of the usual servicing.

Check when last brakes were done (that's costly). Check tires.

I'm sure it's supposed to be 95000km not 950 000km

Is it still under warranty and check the system as mentioned.
Major service due? Cam belt etc can cost big time.
Is it a dealer and do they give a warranty

Gearbox oil should of been changed as well by now, check the history to see if it has been done.

Most likely has warranty till 100 000km - dealership will say everything is a OK...- with Audi, all is ok..till you out of warranty...you then get slapped with the big ticket items. Audi ain't cheap to maintain.

Why this particular car? Can you not find one with lower mileage?

Also, you can extend the maintenance plan. But rather find a lower km one. If you can't afford a lower km one, then you can't afford this Audi either.

Services are around R2600 for minor and around R5000 for major at the dealer. Tyres around R2400 each. If anything breaks, you are looking at R10,R20 even R30k and if it is the gearbox, around R100 000. Seriously.
