Useless Afrihost service

After always getting good service from Afrihost in the past they really seem to be dropping the ball now.

I ordered a mobile data sim and device on Friday 21 February and still haven't progressed beyond payment verified almost a week later. So much for 48 hour delivery.

Even logging numerous support tickets doesn't get one a straight answer and calling last night the response was that all the delivery guys have gone home but that they would call me back today, which of course they never did.

Really guys, this shouldn't be that hard, get your issues sorted out and stop messing us around.
 
Its really shocking, TBH MWEB has the best customer service while AH isnt so good.
 
That's actually true, I never had any issues when I was with MWEB. Didn't find them to be amazing either though.
 
I heard that Afrihost currently don't have stock for sims. Not sure how accurate though.
 
I'm in the same boat at the moment: Ordered the USB 3G device + sim card on Tuesday, and have had no updates on my order since. I've sent a couple of emails to support, but haven't received any replies. The order's been stuck on "Payment Verified" for 4 days now.

If they're out of stock - no problem, it happens. But the radio silence is the thing that's killing me.

Exactly, at least communicate. Even on here I see the rep is silent on this thread. After calling again yesterday I was told they were very busy because of a special but I should get it this weekend "because couriers also work Saturday and Sunday".

I somehow doubt Afrihost pays the premium for weekend delivery but anyway, at this stage I haven't even made it to "parcel packed".
 
What's the turnaround time now days for delivery of SIM CARD ? Remember waiting over a month to receive my sim card was frustrating contacting the courier company daily.
