using a old billion 7401vgp as wireless extender

Hi everyone and thanks for listening

I would like to use an old mweb 7401 router to connect a PC wirelessly to the telkom netgear DG834GUv5 adsl router. I could sling a cable, but it's a temporary arrangement and I have the old router!

I've done searches on this forum and the web and it seems to be possible but I'm getting nowhere!

Questions:
1. Has this been done/ is it possible?
2. Do I need to "unlock" the billion?
3. Do I need to use WEP?
4. Do I need my head read?!
