Using an iPhone made me realize why I love Android

The problems you mention literally don’t exist for people who have gone all in on Apple. But if they suddenly switch to Android they are in for a wild time of a broken mess.

But on the modern world of the cloud one has to ask why are documents even being moved to your phone? For what purpose? Why aren’t they in Google Docs or OneDrive or any variety of cloud service where documents should live.

These “issues” people mention so often just simply don’t exist for most people. So I often wonder if the people citing them are living horribly broken lives, or simply using kak examples that don’t apply in reality.

It’s the same as the eternal using your flash drive as a phone nonsense? Do people ACTUALLY do that? Do people actually use flash drives still?

Everyone's circumstances are different as to how they use technology and not everyone is in a perfect setting with perfect connectivity and the perfect setup while sipping on their perfect latte. I don't like and will never use Apple products again for my own reasons. Simple as that. And how did your minor rant end on flash drives? Yes, people still use them because their circumstances and for what ever reason they still use them is different to you and your perfect setting.

That is a bonus - I'm surprised something like that isn't available for Android. They good a copying - it must be the pasting that is giving them problems.

I changed nothing - the sun set and the ambient lighting thereby was reduced by a level that deemed the change to "dark mode".

Not the first or 10th car I notice this change in either.

Again, there is no scientific basis for it. These aren’t my opinions, these are facts.

It’s a placebo.

Note I’m not saying 100% brightness in dark mode = 100% brightness in normal mode.

I’m saying reducing the brightness adequately in normal mode achieves the very same goal as dark mode, while retaining better contrast and therefore readability.

Dark mode removes the perception of eye strain by removing brightness, but increase actual eye strain by reducing readability.

Also it’s a different/separate copy and not just Ctrl+P.

Unlike the Mac <> iOS integration that is all one and the same system.

Absolutely.

But people in the 1% shouldn’t pretend like their specific problems apply to the 99% which is what I take issue with.

I only bring up the flash drive as a commonly touted example, yet those very people using it as an example of the failings of Apple don’t even use flash drives.

And those people who are all in on Apple have the very same (but better) functionality if they ever did want to operate like that.

Just because Apple is different they equate it to being bad in capable, but more often than not the same functionality is right there but people can’t put themselves in those inverted shoes.

It doesn’t happen for everyone with astigmatism but happens to a large and significant proportion.

And this is outside of people in general who have no need for it in the first place and are just ****ing up their perfectly fine eyes by using it.

Not sure if someone replied to it in the next page, swiftkey on android turn on clipboard sync, and on windows go to clip tray and turn on cloud sync.

Was in beta for years and got released middle 2020 I think.

Using the cloud isn't really the same thing but I'm sure many will find this useful - unfortunately it requires windows on the other end and that rules me out.

BTW it was only released Nov 2021. :o
