I will put my neck out and say that "big data" is a useless concept for 95% of companies.
They do not actually know WHAT they would like to get analysed or how to get there.

Pretty sure that thing you've got there is called SQL database not big data.Chasing big data can be a total waste if not applied properly. However, even if you have a simple tool with the ability to order a data set which includes fields like "first contact date", "first demo date", "size of company" etc.; then you gain control over powerful information that can drive informed decisions. I do think that is valuable for more than 5% of companiesKnowing what goes on in your business on different levels, and having useful metrics is invaluable.

But if they do collect it over 10 years and then finally figure out what they want to do with it, they can (if it is the third full moon after the summer solstice and a rooster crowed at midnight twice....in other words they collected the right data in that 10 years)I will put my neck out and say that "big data" is a useless concept for 95% of companies.
