We currently have a 4mb ADSL line and IS uncapped 512 business account (which of course means that the router is locked down by IS) and i'd like to make use of the additional 3.5mb bandwidth on the line through other ISP accounts, when needed.
I know that routers like certain billion ones support running the router in "routed" mode where it establishes the PPPoE session, while simultaneously allowing bridged connections so that you can establish your own PPPoE sessions as well.
If anyone could give me an idea of what this feature is called, or the standards involved, I'd really appreciate it, so that I can ask the IS techies to enable this on the router, which is a Billion BiPAC 7404VGO by the way. Or, if you have an alternative sollution to my problem, that would also be welcome.
