Hi guys,

I have OVHD and DSTV at home running off separate dishes. If I get a twin LNB, Something like this for example:

http://takealot.com/og/v1/PLID32757875

Is it possible for me to use both my services off the one dish? The reason for asking is because I was having some issues with signal when I initially installed OVHD and the lady in their call center gave me settings for the set top box to connect to a DSTV satellite or something along those lines so I figured this just might work.

Thanks for your answers in advance.

yes it will/
out of interest where is your current OVHD dish facing?

We know it's not on is20 so it must be pointing at... the other satellite that transmits OVHD.

Connect one decoder. At the back there is an LNB OUT socket. Connect an LNB cable to this socket and connect the other end of the LNB cable to the LNB IN cable of the second decoder.

They both are pointing East

The dish on the left is DSTV one on the right is OVHD

They're both pointing at the dstv bird.

ok, so if I want OVHD at our complex (flats) which has a dish for DSTV and cable connection points at each flat, I would need to ask management to fit a twin LNB as per opening post ? No recalibration of the dish or other technicalities (apart from a decoder) ?

And this will work on a DSTV and OVHD dish concurrently with no twin LNB?

Just connect the OVHD decoder to the dstv dish.

both using dstv satellite, maybe the LNB on the one dish is little off , if you put the dstv on that dish does it work?
just thinking since you going out to buy a new lnb, you will have to get on the roof to install, just check if the ovhd LNB might be slightly off before spending cash,
