Worked for me
1) download and install tor, https://www.torproject.org/dist/vidalia-bundles/vidalia-bundle-0.2.2.34-0.2.15.exe and https://www.torproject.org/dist/torbrowser/tor-browser-2.2.34-2_en-US.exe
2) Run it. let it connect to the tor network. Wait for green onion
3)From the main window, Select "View the Network" button a new window with a map of the world with a list of nodes on the left side will open up.
4)Right click a node with a US flag the higher up the better, select copy fingerprint, Exit to tor main window
5) Click settings, and then click advanced tab.You should see a button to edit the "torrc file", click that and you'll be presented with a text editor.
6) Copy and paste the following into the text editor right at the top:
Code:
ExitNodes XXX
StrictExitNodes 1
replace XXX with the fingerprint you copied from step 4
7)Apply changes, and restart tor
8) Open Tor Browser from the tor browser bundle
