Using Google to bypass proxy blocking

If you must connect to the internet via a proxy you may be frustrated by not being able to access certain sites due to them being blocked by your proxy. Here's a solution that uses google's translation engine to access any site.

Add the following bookmark to your favourites:

javascript:location.hostname="www.google.com/translate?langpair=en|en&u="+location.hostname

When next you try to access a "forbidden" site and your proxy returns "blocked" or whatever, just select this bookmark. It will load the current site address into googles translation engine (english to english) which will then let you access the site contents...

You can also access "www.forbiddensite.com" by using the following URL if you prefer not to use the bookmark method:
