Using Mikrotik on a DSL line

Hi Guys

I am looking for the preferred method to use Mikrotik on a DSL line.
Should I have my adsl router make the PPPOE connection or
should I rather set my adsl router in bridge mode and have the
Mikrotik make the connection?

I am looking for the preferred method.I tested both and they seem to work
fine but those with more experience can give better feedback.

I always let the mikrotik dial the connection.

Using the Mikrotik to-do the work, and the DSL modem just as a media converter is better in my opinion.

This way there are less routing and programming to be done, port forwards etc.
Secondly you can setup rules to dail diffrent isps, or using diffrent accounts in diffrent time slots.

Much more scope for custom setup.

Other point, what would the use of the Mikrotik be if the router makes the connection?

I can only think of 2nd firewall or VPN
