Hi All,

So i have been down the road to explore the Android boxes to run as my media pc but always experienced bugs. Im not going to even consider forking out around 3k for a Shield. My next mission is to try and run a Pi3 as my main source but use Windows instead. The main reason for Windows is that i find it far more reliable, much more flexibility and i can use a proper browser to run DSTV now. Has anyone done so and what is their experience?

I ran Kodi on a Pi2 for ages before and it was one of the best setups I have ever used, media was on externals.
I never tried smb etc like my current setup Plex and ATV4

I am not aware of a Windows distro for the PI.
I use OSMC on my PI but it's useless now as I am getting lots of Kodi issues.

So i watched a few videos now and there is Windows 10 IOT but has its limitations. Has anyone used any of the PI builds..eg Openelec and used a browser for DSTV now?

Are there any PI or PI type boxes that can run 4k yet?
