Using school email on outlook...

ISP SMTP servers are smtp.saix.net and smtp.isdsl.net, I guess there is also a WA one.

I use my UCT email at home with thunderbird. No problems at all.

Is everybody missing the point that he is using a groupwise server/client? (Which is probably not the same as the CS departments pop/imap server but hopefully I'm wrong)

I can also use groupwise one chrome, but I want them to send the emails from groupwise to outlook.. But I dont' know how.. Sigh

Have you tried logging a call with the IT support division?

Novell GroupWise does not always work the same as other pop/imap servers.
