Anyone using Telegram for unlimited cloud storage?

You can basically create a lot of private channels with only you in them and then send files to the channels. 2GB file size limit but unlimited storage and as long as you are active at least every 6 months it stores the files for life.

Definitely works but if it's worth it well depends. If you find yourself running out of storage on your phone you can use this to send all your files to telegram.
 
Geez, I wouldn't trust that. I use it, like currently, but I won't put anything private in there.

You know that the upload and download speed is capped, right? It's something like 1.5Mbps for private stuff.

Large channels get CDN caching and you'll get quick downloads.

The private channel has some bandwidth restrictions you are right.

It's capped at ~10Mbps on Telegram desktop, ~40Mbps telegram web and ~100Mbps on phones.
 
Yeah I agree with the sentiment of not trusting Telegram. I think group channels aren't even encrypted.

If you do this, don't do it with sensitive files.

Group chats are encrypted the same as normal chats.
And if it's private/sensitive enough, you'd encrypt it before upload.

Ah my bad, I meant to say only one-to-one "secret" chats are end-to-end encrypted.
All other forms of chats aren't (there is encrypted but it's not end-to-end).

How is it a hackjob if it's just creating an account like Whatsapp & sending files, + u get everything you need on telegram , Movies, music, games YouTube videos if you wanna download there, & best thing u can save all those to ur saved msg's without downloading them, u can download them later
