Ok so I have a Lapa that is roundabout 30m outside my house. Its about 100m worth of cabling if I am going to extend my Current decoder to the Lapa....this is a horror situation, and I have dug the trench once already....I am in no mood to dig another trench.

So along comes one of my friends while we are drunk and suggests I get a Drifta. Use it in the lapa, and when not, use it in the Games Room, or even bedroom...for when that sexy movie is on Africa Magic....

Anyway back to the point.

I have a access point in the form of a Router, as I assume 99% of people do. But I doubt this will work as a Wifi-Device. My pc wont pick it up through the network, will it? I dont think so.

So the question : I have a Laptop with WiFi. Dropping this next to the Drifta, and then running a duel monitor from the Laptop to the TV in the lapa, should give me image on the TV. Am I correct in assuming this?

What does the Drifta have onboard? Doesnt it maybe, just maybe have a Video out?

Thanks in advance.

You can only play it on a PC/Laptop and then use the Video/TV out from that - Your resoltion will have to be dropped to get a bigger picture which may not be acceptable.

Yea - resolution will be really horrible!

That reason alone would be why not to do it!

Mmmm, I thought it would have variable resolutions for the different devices going up to Standard Definition 720 reso for the Pc.

Rather go for the Ellies AV sender, provided you more or less have line of sight. Bit more than the drifter, but will be better quality.
