Ok I know that is not uTorrent. But I downloaded BitTorrent and it's following the same pattern. Get 15 or so torrents, and try to download more off websites, only to get it loading slow, with very high CPU usage resulting in 100% and PC stalling.

What's going on? I have Avast up to date, Malwarebytes up to date.

I don't want to download a third torrent client, fr fear this might reoccur.

I also tried older versions. Same story.

What's very bad is that I had to abandon all my torrents on Utorrent when it never responded and I don't want to do the same with BitTorrent.

Get Peerblock and add some list to it from iblocklist.com

In peerblock you will be able to see what is trying to connect to you pc.
I found it is normaly LeaseWeb in Germany trying to connect so badly that it push your cpu to 100%

When I see this happening to me, I just stop the torrent that is active at that moment and exit uTorrent.
Wait a minute or so and start uTorrent up again and all is fine. Some folks say that LeaseWeb have fast trackers and sould be unblocked in peerblock, but I don't think so

Hope this help

What router do you have? I know the Netgear has an issue where it can't handle more than 30 or so peers and it stalls the router. Not sure why your PC is affected though, never had an issue with uTorrent

Thanks guys. Googled a bit, I just have to reduce peers, download limits, etc to make it work. I use mobile broadband.

This stumbling block has opened something else though. http://zbigz.com
Works the same as torrific, converts to HTTP links...
