Utu

iBurst UTU.....Does anybody know what I'm talking about????? Looking for someone else that has one....Mine rocks! :D Want to know how anyone elses is in terms of response...so lemme know
 
So how much exactly does yours rock? Have you ever used a UTD?

Could you compare the quality of the two, because thats what I am realy looking for.

So by response you mean pings and connection speed (dB to tower) in general... so wanna post some of your stats?
 
From a "propeller head" discussion recently held the UTU does not achieve quite the same power as the utd but it's certainly a better bet than the utc. So, if you don't mind the additional size the utu would be a good recommendation for mobile users.

Impressions are overall positive but I'd still recommend utd more often than not due to the ethernet that can be plugged onto routers etc etc
 
Okay, so i'm not going to bother with a UTU. Thanks for that, read that stuff before but old ICTBrodbandHoldins or wateva, said that he could get pretty much the same signal or better with a UTU for some reason.

I'll just stick to a UTD thanks.

:confused: Well my reseller gave me a UTU and a 5m USB signal regen cable so the UTU sits in the roof! :D No need for External antenna or AC current :D

How bout that? :D

I believe the UTD is stronger but by how much? What you want me ping?gimme numbers, IP's whatever....

Is it better coz of it's surface area or what? I wanna open it and see the difference.....but then my warranty gonna vaai out the window :( Anybody tried opening any of these babies?

hmm.. interesteing and you live in bergvliet meaning you connect to Plumbstead. No antenna is pretty amazing, I only get 1-3 lights with no antenna, terrible service.

So try pinging this site myadsl.co.za and google.com (tell if its during the day or night pls, makes a big difference)

But your roof is probably a much better posistion than my windowsill. Im very far back (as in away from plumstead) in bergvliet, almost as far back as you can go, just before ladies mile at the main road end.

The SLim types come and go.. I wa sjust arriving when Slimothy left, never quite got the whole thing with him. He seemed pretty clued up but the people hated him for it... a shame.

And no, I doubt there are any pics.

The criminal ? Yes he is back in South africa, from what i hear. Stole money from some guys here on the forum.
