got a mail stating that they should be releasing their new offering sometime in december (hopefully). basically you buy a realm then sell accounts blahblahblah the usual.

accounts from 3gb to 30gb, pricing kinda looks the same as telkoms to be honest

if I remember from the email it worked out to be around R60 per gig.. but thats what resellers get charged so end user will be more.

agree with the competition point if all the users start moving away from saix bw they might start to realise theyre ruining it.

problem is they aren't selling it any cheaper except for extra the local access. hrm i wonder.. if they could send traffic thru cable and recieve thru sat feed perhaps the lag won't be too bad ? anyways if only they could sell for cheaper than saix the mass mv will force price cuts

this county needs a real alternative, not someone buying bandwith from SAIX and reselling it.

The most "upsetting" thing about SA, why do we need a SNO from outside SA?? We have more than enough willing companies in SA, who would love to compete head on with Telkom, if allowed.

Now everyone shout for SNOTATAKRAP but its just a delaypool more than anything.

We need a competent regulator with an arsenal at their disposal. The SNO is not going to be any different than telkom is currently and you're living in fantasy land if you believe otherwise. Why should they? Their number one goal is profitability.
