Hi folks

I have spoken to UUNet’s new product manager and he confirmed that UUNet will be launching an uncapped ADSL product at the end of the month. I will publish the official press release when it becomes available. They asked not to be flooded by calls, so I think it might be worthwhile to wait for the official launch date before calling them…

Regards,

RPM

Anyone have any more details re this? - ie - availability of static ip, infrastructure used, pricing?

Sounds good ! - it's all down to cost tho, if they can keep it in a similar range to current offerings, the gauntlet will be firmly laid down for other ISP's to follow suit !

If they charge a premium, well, another proud south african ripoff ! ;)

I've noticed that your speeds have drastically drop with the last two test?

URL for further info in respect of this would be appreciated

Price: 1083 Rand/month incl. VAT (by Reseller) Sharing possible up to 10 (Reduces costs)

That doesn't cover the ADSL line rental nor the R85 Telkom residential fee right?

So unless you can share it, it's pointless.

Oh well, dreams and hopes dashed once again by our wonderful South African Telecommunications situation.
