Hi, I caught the back-end of an ad on DSTV telling the new V series starts on Wednesday or something. I have a horrible suspicion its gonna be on one of the HD channels then I'm going to be pissed.
Anyone with details?
 
Any idea when/which channel so I can make up my own mind?
 
haven't seen the original but the new one is kinda crap - or rather, it turns into a crap show (it started out pretty good...)
 
Although I will always have a soft spot for the original, I still enjoyed the new one. It's all about personal preference, really.
 
I've never seen the 80's series. I've started to check out the new one looks decent enough, it feels true to that corny 80's-90's style, like the V's standing in a V shape in the board room, corny but it makes it feel like a classic series even though its new.

It starts the 28th or 29th July on the series channel. Although i tend to agree with most, the original was far better, this is still a good series to watch. It's only 12 episodes long though. Enjoy.
 
Its a great show :D

The original was great when you watched it in the 80`s... its so super lame when you watch it now.
 
Yeah, if you have any idea what happened in the original, this new one just do not live to any expectation. No matter how low it was.......
 
It is watchable - I've watched the whole 1st season. It doesn't have the attraction of the original, but it's worth looking at.
 
I disagree. I watched the entire new V series, and I found it to be quite good. And the female aliens are not bad-looking either. Definately worth watching. V's pilot episode was the most watched episode of any series ever on the ABC network last year.
 
This new V is kark!

The acting is pretty pathetic! The storyline, equally boring.

Urgh! What a waste! Could have been so much better!

They could have learnt alot from the re-imagined BSG!

Now thats how you do it!
