Valve unveils the Steam Controller

Looks. Would love to try it out and see how accurate it is.
 
Sooooo...it's a thumb trackpad.

I too am worried about the accuracy. And that weird back trigger, which is more than likely going to be the cause of failure in stealth based missions when you accidentally let the controller rest too hard against your fingers.
 
Trackpad is going to be cumbersome. Will stay with my logitech which also looks like it has more buttons and in better positions.
 
I'm surprised they only advertised the controller in the video. It looks more like an ad for the Steam Link.

I would take that controller only as part of the Link. For my PC's gamepad I prefer an XB1 controller.

How well the trackpads work will be the deciding factor IMO. Usually I use the DS3 for PC gaming but this looks very cool.

Then disable them if they give you trouble.
