vasectomy- so who had it done ?

High Point - 5 girls in nurses outfits touch your bits.
Low Point - 3 of the 5 carry very sharp objects and there is a guy in the room who sticks them into your bits.
Result - 1 suture. Dissolves after ten days. Minor pain for two days after the op, no pain killers required. Doc said I could go back to gym the next day. ZipZap.
A mate wasn't so lucky. His bits got infected and went funny colors. Antibiotics had to be injected into his sack. He cried a lot. 4 weeks later all was fine and dandy.
Performance, Stamina, boom boom, etc - No difference.
If memory serves the op was about R3k in a private hospital and Discovery covered everything. I asked the guy with the sharp objects if he ever does reversals. He says at least one a week. 70% success rate. R60k bill.
I did have a conversation with a female colleague once that went along the lines of men who've had it done are more likely to have affairs 'cos the risks are lower. Not sure I agree but do see her point.

My version:
- Prep you for theater like any other op. (Lie on bed, put on funny dress with no back, put on paper undies).
- Give you a yellow pill (sedative).
- Let you watch TV for a while.
- Wheel you into pre-op.
- Leave you there for an hour.
- Wheel you into theater.
- Move you from bed to operating table.
- Expose your boy.
- Ask if you have allergies.
- Nurse 1: Cleans your boy with stuff that smells odd.
- Nurse 2: Shaves your sack (2cmsx2cms patch)
- Nurse 3: Tapes your boy to your stomach (she was a redhead)
- Nurse 4: Hands Doc something
- Doc injects your sack
- Doc does somethings down there while asking you about sport and gardening.
- Doc asks Nurse 1 for something which she hands him and he uses on you that results in the smell of burning flesh and a small amount of smoke.
- Doc puts a stich in your sack
- Nurse 5: Applies a plaster to your area and tells you, 'All done.' with smiling eyes.
- Someone wheels you out of theater and back to the ward.
- They give you lunch.
- They tell you that you can go.
- Whole process is about 5 hours.
- Time in theater is about 12 minutes.
oh ... one of the chaps in the ward decided to go under general anesthetic so he would have a less detailed experience but it is an option.

Just read the side effects and complications ...
Not a chance in hell I'm having that done to me even after I've produced offspring!
I'd rather stick with normal contraceptives and run the risk of having another "blessing".

Just keep them away from me ....... forever. My poor uncle was out of action for 7 weeks due to an infection. First time I'd ever seen him cry, so no thanks. Plus, there is the added possibility that you have to go back and have it redone Norm!

After you had your kids, why not?
The pill has normally more side effects on women than this small operation has on men.
Spare your loved one these side effects and have it done.
I had no problems at all, not even a swelling.

@R60k i think its better to wait till u done having offspring or sure u don't want them.
btw me curious, how long before everything is operational.

Technically immediately but a bit uncomfortable. Doc even tells you it's healthy to get the juices flowing as soon as possible after the op. I think I tested the results on day 3 or 4 and it worked fine. Seriously there is zero difference in the wham bam between before and after.

The length of time passed since the vasectomy affects the successful outcome of knocking someone up. That's what the fertility docs told me. So if you change your mind, make it earlier rather than later.
