Job guarantees can work... on condition that the unions do not insist on double digit annual increases! The cost of low-skilled labour in SA is making it impossible for business to remain profitable without either increasing prices or automating their production processes or importing cheaper products in order to reduce costs.

If I was in the manufacturing or mining business this is definitely the way I'd go. Imagine... no strikes ... no go-slows... no theft ... and sht, would a human restraints department even be necessary
