Heya

This is probably a really stupid question with a really easy answer...
I have a dvd player in my car, is there anyway of copying series IE Lost (350mb) to a dvd. So i could have ten episodes on a dvd to watch on a long trip etc? Same goes for music videos.

Maybe there is a program or something u dont know. :o

Thanks very much!

Thats the thing, i have no idea LOL!!

I dont know what will work and what will not work, I just wanna watch the stuff in my car :(

Sweet, dump them all in the root of a DVD and stick it in. If it plays then you have DivX if not then you need to make a DVD format disks.

AVI is DivX. The file extension doesn't determine the video codec. All the Lost episodes that come from News Groups are in DivX or XviD. Try it and see what happens.

Ahaha see, im such a NOOB!

I cant stand the shame :D

So if its mpeg im screwed lol?

mpeg or avi are just indicators of the container format (DivX and Xvid are MPEG-4 compression formats). DivX files can be .avi, .mpg, .mpeg, or .divx (or .xvid).

However, most DivX compatible DVD players like .avi or .divx files.

Aaah.

Rad. so ill just pop the files into the root folder of the dvd and see if it plays :D

Thanks so much everyone, i love this place.

And if that fails I can always help you out. Weesa both livin in da Kaap Stad.

The best thing about the DVD player in a car is that most of them support GigaMP3. Stick as many mp3's on a DVD as possible and you have half your music collection on 1 disk.

YaY:D

Yep its got giga mp3.

Its a prety rad setup, i love music and i love GOOD quality music. i use a fatality sound card with Z-5500's for my pc.

When i get home ill try see what i can do. You never know until you try hey
*try everything once*

Hehe.

Thanks
Guys

Yep, I use to race(did motorcross) and wow. Those things are a godsend once you have fallen off and are in a pretty bad state. They really helped me alot.

Ok now im home, when i want to write to the dvd wat proggie do i use?

Aah man i hate myself for asking such noob questions :(

going and pay for imtoo mpeg converter

i use that with my divx files for my dvd player

you encode from avi to mepg

99% of all series are avi's and need to be converted to mpeg for dvd player to play em

then use nero burn a data dvd and add your files

this works for my dvd plrs and all my buddies

You can convert between file formats using SUPER.
www.erightsoft.com

SUPER © plays & converts very fast full length movies to
any other format without any time or function limitation.
NO trial or evaluation version of SUPER © but one unique fully working version.

SUPER © does NOT require any additional external codec to
be installed, absolutely nothing. Necessary codecs are built in!

SUPER © can also play and save Internet Media Streams
with different protocols ( mms:// rtsp:// http://)

Please read the changelog and the following details to see how:
SUPER © does for FREE what other encoders CAN'T do for money.

It's free. Then use NERO.
