VDSL 20mbps - Do I need a new modem?

If you guys are looking at Routers, can I through the Draytek Vigor range into the hat, got one earlier the year, very impressed with unit and their local support.

ADSL2+ will do 24Mbps down, and most ADSL routers out at the moment will happily do that, it's the other direction, with Telkom they only doing 1Mbps up on ADSL2+, you need VDSL to get the 2Mbps.

So you need to decide how much large uploads/sends/emails you going to send, to justify the VDSL requirement.

Technicolor TG589vn v3 and my ping to JHB is ~20ms.

You will have to post your line stats, if you are only syncing at 13Mbps I have a feeling your SNR isn't great.

+1 as i know somebody with one of these routers, and he raves about it :)
