Hi,
Anyone know of a Wireless Router product that supports VDSL/ADSL/LTE? I would even accept a Wireless Router that supported ADSL/LTE if it had the latest "ac" range standard. Range (Very large house) and USB LTE modem support are vital. Cost is not relevant for the right product.
My ideal Wireless Router would be the following: Fibre/VDSL/ADSL/LTE supporting "ac" standard, but I know its unlikely to exist, at least this would save me buying a new router every year to keep up with latest technology. Plus I'm about to move from ADSL to VDSL then when "Fibre to the Home" becomes available I will make that jump up as well.
I need at the very least a Wireless ADSL router that supported the use of a USB LTE modem via the USB slot, the reason for this is I need a failsafe for when the Telkom (It happens every few months with Telkom) fixed line ADSL fails it can switch over to the USB LTE Modem providing continuous internet connection.
For some reason NETGEAR, which I've used for decades, have dropped off support of USB LTE in their latest "ac" range products, not sure why or maybe I'm wrong (Could have something to do with the extra power required for USB LTE Modems), but none of their technical specifications show support for USB LTE modems, only support for USB external storage and USB printers.
Any help in this minefield would be greatly appreciated
