Tried and LTE in evenings goes to 10Mb on Telkom.
 
Current Rate(Up/Down):8260/45055 kbps
Max Rate(Up/Down):8746/132280 kbps

No jokes @Hemps , contemplating going back to a combination of (V/A)DSL/4G. On fibre you just have so many issues, it just aint worth it anymore. I have more tickets on my frotfoot lines over the last 3 years, vs all the tickets logged over the 12 odd years with my ADSL line(s). And I did not have to go via the ISP for those issues.

Then there are the install fees, activation fees, up/downgrade fees, cancellation fees, contract/clawback fees etc

Nobody can get ADSL/VDSL installations or transfers (in South Africa) anymore!

Perhaps a combo of 5G and 4G is in your future?

Or satellite and 5G/4G?

But perhaps a combo of Fibre and 5G/4G makes more sense...

Or just Jenny?

ADSL is very much still available for new installs or activations.

Problem is if you're inan OpenServe covered fibre area and you log a fault, a fibre order will automatically be opened on your behalf. You fault won't get fixed, it will get closed instead.

Yes they aren't repairing cable in areas with low ADSL numbers and that have Openserve fibre.

Municipality ripped the cable to shreds when they dug at the corner taking my 20Mbps VDSL line down. It was less than an hour and Openserve was there and they fixed the fibre but my ADSL stayed down. 3 faults later and

FDC45 IE_N/VWT/0001/2022-23/D Ccom bucket , Cable will not be replaced- please offer alternative technology for services.

How is that a problem, if you're in an openserve covered area then get fibre from them.
