I called Vox they have recreated the port and stats have changed but speedtest speeds are still the same at 10mb/s.

New stats:
Upstream line rate (kbit/s) 1021
Downstream line rate (kbit/s) 12478
Upstream maximum line rate (kbit/s) 1184
Downstream maximum line rate (kbit/s) 18212
Upstream noise safety coefficient(SNR) (dB) 10.8
Downstream noise safety coefficient(SNR) (dB) 6.5
Upstream interleave depth 0
Downstream interleave depth 0
Line standard ADSL_2plus
Upstream line attenuation (dB) 17
Downstream line attenuation (dB) 30
Upstream output power (dBmV) 11.9
Downstream output power (dBmV) 19.2

Apparently that was a call centre agent a technician will call me shortly.

yeah i need to do a recreate myself on my line. your stats are more stable but lets hope the router keep those stats up. If it is not a line fault then they should lower your sync from 12478 to just above 10. that should lift your down and up sream SNR to about 12.5 and 7.5 which will be stable

Did you say you're on a 20Mbps line?

that line is syncing at the same speed as mine..10Mbps

Strange..

Do take into account that I was syncing at 20mb perfectly when I signed up with Vox at my old place and then the line was moved to a new place further from the exchange.

Yes 20mb profile/line.

I don't know if you will be able to get VDSL because of the distance, if you downgraded to a 10Mbps line you will get the same sync speed you get now and the line will probably be more stable.

TP-LINK Archer VR400 is the best you will get, it uses a Broadcom modem and has 867Mbps 5GHz wireless AC and gigabit LAN.

Costs about ~R1500 and it will last you for years seeing as it can also be used with fibre.

Useless with more than two walls in between.

Before I moved some things to be able to use Ethernet for all my fixed devices my media server in the lounge was connected to my Archer D2 15-20 meters away through 4 walls using a Archer T4UH high gain adapter and I was able to get 80Mbps.
