Hi guys.

Upgrade to vdsl 20mbps , line is synching fine but there is no internet throughput.

Advice on how/what I should do.

Kind regards
Stefan

These are the vdsl stats. Line seems fine but no internet throughput. Have tried having them resynch the port 3 times now :(

These are the settings, can anyone see if I am doing anything wrong?

Note there is currently a fault on the telkom internet side. Try another ISP account if you with Ti. Congrats on getting high speed :D internets.

Tried with telkom guest, mweb and crystal web. All fail to connect even though line is synching and seems fine :(

Sorry, that was an isolated issue and things are back to working on Ti. Try to PM TelkomZA on FB / Twitter or here and hopefully he will sort you out quick but he is busy (well Charl :) ).

Looking at your screenshot, see if changing the Transfer mode helps

Was fixed for a little bit this morning but now broke again. Seems it works when the Annex mode is Annex_A but now it reset to Annex_B and no through put again.

Did you call Telkom and ask them to verify the line? We tried the online route, and it did not work. Telkom helpdesk worked...

Have contacted telkom through their call centre,pm here, twitter and facebook. Guys from facebook has resynched the line to adsl2+ 20mbps and its working now. Still not ideal but better then what the rest have managed.

Telkom ofc claim its the router. I am using a ASus dsl-N66U which is vdsl 2+ compat and did work when they somehow for 5 mins managed to get the vdsl profile on the annex_A instead of B. The ADSL2+ profile is running on annex_A.

Don't see anything so guess not :( Does have approval stickers from some european and international boards but no Icasa.

These are my stats on the Pace router using 10Mbit ADSL 2+:

Modulation type G.992.5-A
Actual rate (up) 1020 kbps
Actual rate (down) 10236 kbps
Data transfered (sent) 0 kB
Data transfered (received) 0 kB
Output power (up) 12 dBm
Output power (downstream) 10.6 dBm
Line attenuation (up) 1.7 dBm
Line attenuation (downstream) 7.9 dB
Noise margin (up) 6.9 dB
Noise margin (downstream) 29.7 dB

Anyone see any issue with going to 40Mbit VDSL given those?

Thanks

Looks like the upstream Noise Margin could cause issues with the higher upload speed
